Racial Justice Advocacy Forum The Baptist Union of Great Britain : Racial Justice Advocacy Forum
The Racial Justice Advocacy Forum is an ecumenical Christian entity that seeks to speak prophetically on behalf of Black and Brown Christians to the government on racial injustice challenges and reparations. The forum seeks to make recommendations to help churches begin or continue engaging with racial injustice in the twenty first century. They plan various events often in and around London – keep an eye on their website and social media feed for more information.
Sam Sharpe Project The Baptist Union of Great Britain : Sam Sharpe Project
The Sam Sharpe Project was founded to explore and promote the story and legacy of the Jamaican national hero, Sam Sharpe. They hold an annual lecture which they use as a platform to carry the legacy of Sam Sharpe for the diaspora in the 21st Century.
The 2024 Sam Sharpe Lecture was brought by Rev Dr Carlton Turner and was titled "Fighting for Freedom, Fighting for Wholeness: Revolutionary Reactions to Colonial Christianity - you can watch it here

A video and study resource designed for Baptist Ministers and Ministers in Training to develop an awareness of, sensitivity to and action towards issues of racial, ethnic and cultural discrimination in Baptist Churches in Britain.
Blacklight Course Black Light (blacklightcourse.uk)
The Black Light course is run by Urban Expression and the Ascension Trust and offers and opportunity to explore and reflect on racism and injustice. It explores the presence and contributions of black people in the Bible, in church history and in Britain today. It celebrates the growth of the church in Africa and the ‘reverse mission’ impact on Europe. It invites creativity and courage in seizing the opportunities that are emerging and encourages new forms of partnership between black and whit Christians and churches in seeking the kingdom of God in our nation.
